With more than 45 years of expertise in this sector, we understand the complexities the Irish market presents for manufacturers and retailers when trying to ensure the safe and timely delivery of their goods. Operating from two purpose-built warehouses in Antrim (Northern Ireland) and Limerick (Republic of Ireland), offering a combined 50,000 sq ft capacity, we are strategically placed to provide an efficient service across all of Ireland.
Because of the specialist nature of what we do, most logistics companies simply could not do what we do! Few companies are geared up to handle delicate goods in perfect condition and on time, every time.
To avoid product damage or contamination, W.S. Dennison warehouses and dedicated trailers store and carry only furniture and appliances, and operatives do not use any mechanical aides (tail-lifts or forklifts). There is no other warehouse in the country operating predominantly in manual handling, but we believe this is the level of care and attention that the products we handle require. This is highly exceptional in today’s convenience and technology-driven industry.
Our fleet of trailers are specifically suited to furniture delivery, with insulated roofs to reduce the possibility of condensation and secured levelling bars to ensure security of loads. We employ our own in-house mechanics to ensure that the fleet is maintained to the highest standards.
We have built our business on flexibility and so have accumulated years of experience of tailoring each account to the needs of both our client and their end customer. We offer several value-added services, such as setting up furniture displays in stores as part of the delivery process. There is very little that we can’t or aren’t willing to do, even if it means training staff to provide a new skill.
We are confident that, after an initial bedding in period, our customers can be ‘hands-off’. Of course, we will provide all necessary reporting, but we endeavour to manage each contract efficiently and successfully, with minimal input from the customer to relieve them of any hassle or stress.
